Bobby R. Graves has spent his life serving others—first in uniform, then in classrooms, boardrooms, and now in fitness spaces across the community. His journey began at age 19 when he joined the U.S. Army, where he served eight years on active duty and captained the Camp Darby Rangers Football Team in Italy. He continued his service in the U.S. Army Reserve until retiring in 1998 as a Chief Warrant Officer 3.
Alongside his military career, Bobby built a strong foundation in Information Technology and Human Resources Management, maintaining peak physical readiness and participating for several years in Richmond’s Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K Race. Later, recognizing his gift for teaching, he became a high‑school special needs educator in Henrico County and the City of Richmond, retiring from education in 2016.
By 2017, Bobby had completed a distinguished professional journey—earning a Master of Education degree, PHR and SHRM‑CP certifications, and serving as a Diversity & Inclusion Project Manager and student mentor.
In 2018, he embraced a new calling: helping people pursue healthier lives physically, mentally, and spiritually. Through the Sports Backers Fitness Warrior Program, he began serving underserved communities with programs designed to inspire active living.
Today, Bobby brings his relational, faith‑centered approach to personal training, group fitness instruction, and fitness room design. With three children and eight grandchildren, he understands the importance of legacy, health, and community. His philosophy is simple: meet people where they are, plant one seed at a time, and nurture a harvest of better health and wellness.
